Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, former chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides straightforward and simple methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in the best New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her after she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in English as well as Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is a wonderful learning experience. It was hard to study and do enough or put in the hours. After graduating at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy she came to comprehend and appreciate the philosophies behind Italian cuisine and culture which left a lasting impact from a culinary point of view. Burrell has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten children who are facing challenges. She is also an Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador. she is an advocate for the awareness of juvenile diabetes. She is a frequent guest speaker at conferences and travels across the nation to mentor others in her task. Anne has always been grateful she had the opportunity to share her love that she had for cooking with others.
